LotCast ("we", "us") is a product of Datatik LLC ("Datatik"). LotCast operates lotcast.ai and api.lotcast.ai — a neutral discovery and lead-submission platform that lets AI agents (such as Claude or ChatGPT) search participating dealers' vehicle inventory and submit buyer leads on a customer's behalf. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to dealers, buyers, and AI agent developers who interact with LotCast.
Datatik LLC is registered and operates in the United States. LotCast is currently offered only to dealerships and businesses located in the U.S., and this policy is written with U.S. privacy law in mind.
LotCast serves three kinds of visitors, and we collect different information depending on which one you are:
Dealer enrollment information. When a dealership enrolls, we collect the dealership's name, address, industry, website, contact name, phone, and email, plus billing-relevant details like tier and lead delivery preferences. If you connect an inventory feed, we also store the credentials needed to pull that feed (e.g. Lightspeed API credentials or a CSV feed URL).
Buyer lead information. When an AI agent submits a lead on a buyer's behalf, we receive and store the buyer's name, email, phone number, and the vehicle they're interested in — plus optional trade-in details (year, make, model, mileage). This information is forwarded directly to the relevant dealer by email (in plain text or ADF/XML format) so they can follow up. We do not use buyer lead information for our own marketing.
AI agent and API usage information. When an AI agent or partner authenticates against our API (via API key or OAuth/JWT through Auth0), we log the request — endpoint called, response code, and a trace ID — for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. We do not log full request bodies beyond what's needed to investigate abuse.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics on our public pages (the landing page and dealer enrollment flow) to understand traffic and usage — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
We use the following cookies and similar technologies:

We do not sell personal information. We share information in these circumstances:
Dealer account and inventory data is retained for as long as the dealer's account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for records and legal purposes. Buyer lead data is retained to give dealers a record of leads they've received; buyers may request deletion at any time (see "Your rights" below). Audit logs of API/agent activity are retained for security and abuse-investigation purposes. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Analytics settings and Google's policies.
Depending on your state, you may have rights under U.S. state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act) to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. This applies to dealers, buyers whose lead information we've processed, and API partners. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@lotcast.ai and we will respond promptly. Note that because buyer leads are delivered directly to dealers, a deletion request may not remove a copy already stored in a dealer's own CRM — we can only act on data we hold ourselves.
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls for dealer and admin accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
LotCast is a business platform for dealerships and their customers, and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be noted on this page.
